The mission of Project Linus is to donate handmade blankets to critically ill and traumatized children. These blankets provide comfort to children from newborn to 18 years old when they need it most. We accept blankets that are knitted or crocheted, tied fleece, crochet-edged fleece (called Penny blankets) and quilts. For any questions about blanket sizes, acceptable materials and general instructions, please review our General Blanket Guidelines. We have developed specific instructions for creating tied fleece blankets which will ensure that they are well

made. Our chapter has created an encyclopedia of crocheted edges for our Penny blankets. Please call Penny

(847-521-0672) to be able to look through the patterns. Are you interested in trying out a new pattern, our chapter has collected many patterns which we are happy to share with you.

There are many locations to drop off the blankets you have created, please check our list of drop off sites. Please note that any large donations MUST be dropped off at Judi’s house. Call her to let her know that you will be delivering blankets 847-498-3987.

We deliver blankets to many hospitals and agencies that serve children. Children all over the Chicagoland area receive our beautiful blankets.
