Chicagoland Project Linus

Our chapter of Project Linus offers many ways to be involved in providing comfort to children who are experiencing a crisis by creating handmade blankets. Of course, many blankets are created in the comfort
of a blanketeer’s home. If you would like to work on a blanket with other blanketeers, you can join us at
a
variety of events each month where our blanketeers meet to create blankets. Check our calendar for the
dates
for each event.

Our Kids Helping Kids program offers children the opportunity to learn about performing community service by creating quilt squares and fleece blankets.
Scout troops, classrooms, religious classes, after-school programs can participate. Corporations, service leagues
and adult groups also participate in this valuable program.

We greatly appreciate monetary donations to our chapter of Project Linus. They enable us to support our blanketeers and offer them many opportunities. Project Linus is a national, non-profit 501 (c) (3) volunteer organization.
We rely on the kindness and generosity of donors for fundraising support.

To make a cash donation, please send a check, payable to Project Linus, to Penny Gidd, 14 Wakefield Court, Buffalo Grove, IL 60089. Her phone number is 847-521-0672. If you prefer to send a check to our national
office, please remember to type North and Central Chicagoland Chapter in the memo line so our chapter
will receive the credit for the donation. National office mailing address is Project Linus National Headquarters,
PO Box 5621, Bloomington, IL 61702-5621.

If you are using a credit card, please use national website donation form at https://secure.acceptiva.com/?cst=5acf60.

Our chapter offers beautiful tribute cards which can be sent to your friends and loved ones.

Through our adopt-a-blanket program, you can sponsor the creation of a blanket which is made by our volunteers.
